This long-term dataset allows fisheries managers to detect stock changes, adjust harvest limits to support population health, and estimate the size and diversity of the fishery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3\" style=\"color:#c0652a\"><strong>The Data At a Glance<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-text-color has-link-color has-x-large-font-size wp-elements-4\" style=\"color:#c0652a;margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">20 Years of Continuous Monitoring<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#c0652a\">Year over year, Mark and a select team would work at Beauchene Wilderness Lodge to collect, tag, and release trout under a special collection license. Monitoring of Brook Trout began in 1997. Monitoring using microchips in Lake Trout and Brook Trout began in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center alignwide has-base-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-x-large-font-size wp-elements-6\" style=\"color:#c0652a;margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">1,755 Unique Lake Trout Tagged<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"color:#c0652a\">All Brook Trout are captured by angling. Most Lake Trout are captured also by angling, but in some years, we worked closely with Quebec <strong>Minist\u00e8re&nbsp;des&nbsp;Ressources&nbsp;Naturelles&nbsp;et&nbsp;des&nbsp;For\u00eats&nbsp;<\/strong> (MRNF) using short-set gill nets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-text-color has-link-color has-x-large-font-size wp-elements-8\" style=\"color:#c0652a\">Brook Trout are monitored in Taggart Lake, and Lake Trout are monitored in Lac Beauchene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull is-style-section-5 government-led recovery of the Lake Kipawa Lake Trout population by assisting with wild fish collections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-x-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Wild egg collections are
